some sons slipped slowly from fallow farmlands

This painting is possibly about a town with no clothes, naked, wall-less, transparent to the elements and vulnerable to the environment. Except for the quirky little bird, god-like, space creature that floats above, like a town crier - or maybe an ironic peeping tom -who can't see into these transparent homes because he's above, and the roofs are solid red... or maybe his words have substance, maybe even create substance, from the roof down, and if we came back to this little story the walls would be solid.
